באסיפה השנתית ב-30 באפריל 2025 אישר איגוד הפרופסורים של אוניברסיטת אוטווה (APUO) הצעה הקובעת שה-APUO "immediately and permanently divests from institutions, corporations and other entities enabling human rights violations, war crimes, and any other breaches of international law in the Occupied Palestinian Territory" (בתרגום: "מוכר באופן מיידי וקבוע אחזקות במוסדות, בתאגידים ובגופים אחרים המאפשרים הפרות זכויות אדם, פשעי מלחמה וכל הפרה אחרת של המשפט הבינלאומי בשטח הפלסטיני הכבוש").
